Commonwealth wants to squeeze UPND into government – Sakala

HH with his GBM meeting with Commonwealth Envoy

Edwin Sakala who leads a one man party ZDDM has accused the Commonwealth of being in Zambia with sole purpose of “squeezing” the opposition UPND into government.

Sakala who so tribal and is now supporting the ruling party, Patriotic Front (PF) after Edgar Lungu who hails from his region tookover has accused the UPND of pushing a tribal agenda.

Sakala stated this in a statement below to Zambian Eye:
There has been a lot of talk about dialogue but what is not yet clear is what is it that the Commonwealth want to facilitate in Zambia and the agenda.
If it is interparty dialogue the Commonwealth can go through ZCID because all the political parties are all already coming under this umbrella. The UPND and the PF are all among the members.
If it is a national Indaba it is very important that the Commonwealth must tell Zambians the agenda .

Zambians must be told the serious concerns which have prompted the Commonwealth to get involved in Zambian politics.

Zambians already know that the problem in Zambia cannot be solved or be handled by the Commonwealth or indeed any dialogue meeting because it is more spiritual and tribal in nature.
The UPND itself openly told Sakwiba Sikota that it was a party for the Tonga’s and indeed it’s Central Committee structure confirm this fact.
Every Zambian is aware that it is this tribal party behind the perceived problem in Zambia.
It’s members use cynical and abusive language on the social media and radio phone in programs.Fabricate propaganda and use lie’s and insults.

A single tribal party is behind the politics of hate in Zambia.

From what every Zambian is already aware of is that the Commonwealth agenda is to create a situation where UPND can be squeezed into government.
UPND said it even before the 2016 that it will not accept a loss in the election and that it will do anything including. cause an Almageddon to get into power.
Apart from using. unsuccessful every trick in the book to undermine the current government the Party has brought in the Commonwealth in its desperation and the impeachment motion in Parliament.
All these moves are not surprising Zambians because everybody is aware that after lossing elections five times and with no hope of winning any future election the party is now very desperate to use alternative means of getting Power.
We are however concern that UPND is using its tribal strength to disturb the peace and harmony the country is enjoying.
It has promoted tribal hate politics which can be seen in the misinformation and demonic propaganda it tribes men are posting on the social media and radio /TV appearances.
UPND stands out as a merchant of hate and destructive politics in Zambia.
Any effort to facilitate national dialogue or interparty dialogue will surely not achieve anything because UPND has only one aim and goal and that is to get into power by all means.

  2. I 100% agree with Mr. Sakala. Everybody in Zambia knows that UPND is a tribal grouping with the sole mission to deliver a TONGA president to the state house. When Mazoka died Sejani said it publicly that ONLY A TONGA MUST LEAD UPND and that is how HH ( a TONGA ) became the leader of this cult. In 2016 Daniel Munkobwe delaclared at the UPND rally that IT IS NOW TIME FOR A TONGA TO RULE. Only last year when Saboi imboela resigned from UPND stated that YOU ARE NOT COUNTED IN THE UPND WHEN YOU ARE NOT A TONGA. What UPND leadership seems not to know is that any political party is for all tribes and not just for one tribe (TONGAS, and that a leader does not force himself on the subjects but he is chosen using proper channels.Since HH took over,UPND has never gone for a convention to choose its leadership, HH just hand picks the people he wants (MOSTLY TONGAS)to work with. In this vein UPND is unpopular and will continue to be unpopular to many Zambians provided it is being led by a TONGA unless the tribal tug is wiped out by its leadership

    • If Upnd mps were cleaver enough let them impeach HH and find someone from other tribe with a clean record to lead the party. People like William Banda and Masebo as runing mate. No one will take HH to the state house apart from people of Zambia. Not even Commonwealth, SADIC, Lwindi Royal Establishment, his bitterness, freemasons, Maimane.

  4. We are all tribal and sectarian in nature as human beings. Look at Rwanda, Burundi, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya.
For Sakala to point his short fingers at UPND as tribal is half truth. In Zambia, we are tribal in politics and cultural heritage. That’s a fact.
I urge all Zambians to be bold and courageous enough to be accomodative and respect the rule of law.
PF is also tribal and sectarian in composition. Just look at their perceived strongholds. They are Bemba speaking regions and eastern Zambia.
