HH with his GBM meeting with Commonwealth Envoy

Edwin Sakala

Edwin Sakala has accused Britain of trying to help Hakainde Hichilema and UPND into power using Commonwealth.

Commonwealth is spearheading talks in Zambia between President Lungu and Hichilema.

But Sakala who heads a political party called ZDDM working with PF has accused Commonwealth of being dishonest and that they should not be entrusted to spearhead the talks.

Sakala said this in a press statement below to Zambian Eye on Monday.

It must be clear to Africans who follow politics that Britain after breaking away from the European Union is desperately trying to regain control of its strategic former Colonies using its local puppets in Red uniforms, in Zambia it wants to help the UPND.

Other former colonial masters are supporting this effort because of their desire to fight against the growing Chinese influence on the continent,
It against this background that some people maybe fooled by the presence of the Commonwealth team in Zambia, the truth is that it wants to find a way of helping the UPND and it’s leader Hakainde Hichilema to find a loop hole into power after losing five times, they know that he stands no chance of winning through the ballot hence the desperation that even Almageddon was already considered,
As ZDDM we shall not allow Britain to destroy the peace Zambia is enjoying as a sovereign nation hence the call to our government to maintain its stand that dialogue should only be under the already existing body called the ZCID
We also believe that it’s high time that government should launch an open investigation into how Hakainde Hichilema acquired the Billions of dollars which he is banking outside Zambia
As stated in our Petition letter to the Queen of England in her capacity as Head of the Commonwealth we don’t want Britain to use underhand methods in Zambia because we believe that they are our brothers and sisters with more in common than the Chinese whose social and cultural values Zambians don’t understand,
Zambians feel safer with the British. There is therefore no need for Britain to use tricks or men in Red Uniforms who are endangering Zambia with their desperation politics.
Britain must learn from the unnecessary damage it has inflicted on Libya as to find a more civilized approach on how to get back to former Colonies instead of promoting chaos and confusion.

    • Mr Edwin Sakala, to start with, you already contradicting yourself when you are comparing the relations between the British and Zambia and between China and Zambia. Secondly Mr Sakala, this anticipated Dialogue is supposed to be between the PF and the UPND and not all the so-called political parties! Why do i say so? I say so because the Commnwealth intervened in the affairs of a country called Zambia because of the tension between that was building between the two rival Parties that is the UPND and the ruling PF because of the arrest of Mr HH. The Commonwealth came not because the little Parties like the ZDDM had problems with the ruling party in Zambia. So, the Commonwealth is supposed to lead this Dialogue in Zambia because it was their initiative to intervene and the initiative of the Polarised ZCID. The ZCID is instead suppose to be an observer player just like these little Political Parties. So the agenda for this Dialogue is strictly suppose to be for the Commonwealth. Thirdly, Britain’s Europe exit and China’s influence on the African Continent is a different story. And Mr Sakala, why are you a spokesperson of the PF?

      • An lest I forget Mr Sakala, why didn’t the ZCIP pioneer this Dialogue when Mr HH was still in Prison but had to wait for an outsider to come in, release Mr HH and propose to hold a Dialogue? And now the ZCID wants to take credit for doing nothing?

  3. Zambia has been a peaceful country. One of the cardinal ingredients for peace is leadership that embraces all its citizens and treats them fairly. “One Zambia One Nation”. Is current leadership encouraging this motto? Why is current leadership fishing around for excuses not to hold peace talks with other parties? You think the way PF is can on its own hold talks with UPND? Come on, be real. Without outside involvement HH could still be in Mukobeko, if not dead. We have a situation here whether you like to admit it or not.

  5. I don’t see any reason which demands the so called dialogue. There are more serious conflicts in the commonwealth like the capture of girls in Nigeria which the commonwealth should serious fight other than creating a storm in a cup of tea. We have immoral agendas at this club.

  6. All this in nonsense! My take is that we are being governed by a foreigner. I would suggest that even Sakala himself be investigated about his nationality. Iam fed up being governed by foreigners!

  7. I think Sakala makes sense here, Zambia has no problems for some foreigners to insist on , however there can be some people interested in creating a situation that invites them to manipulate a number of things to their advantage .
Some nations are very cunning that in everything they want have an upper hand , what dialogue are they thinking about in zambia while they fail to solve problems they created in some countries .
There is always a loose end that they want to enter through some of our politicians are so greedy that they easily sell their country for nothing people need to be weary of them.

  8. Mr Sakala amazes me. For a man of his level of literacy to begin to think contra wise of an effort to foster peace is very disheartening. If People with divergent views won’t be given a platform to dialogue, then how does he think conflicts will be resolved. The Bible in Matthew 5 says ” blessed are the peace makers…. There’s something going on wrong with Mr Sakala. The Commonwealth fosters peace and is not divisive as Mr Sakala is projecting. Every well meaning Zambian should condemn Mr Sakala statement.Im basic conflict resolution, dialogue not war is encouraged. I rest my thoughts…
