Andeleki speaks out on Livingstone by-election

Chief Registrar of Societies Clement Andeleki has dismissed assertions that he is the Patriotic Front’s preferred candidate for the Livingstone seat which fell vacant yesterday Friday January 4 2013.

But the Zambian Eye is reliably informed that Andeleki is eying the Livingstone seat and he has been frequenting the Tourist capital of late preparing the grounds.

When contacted today, Andeleki told the Zambian Eye that he was not aware of any such developments but had seen the report by some sections of the media.
“I only saw the report that I was going to become the candidate of the Livingstone By-election in one Newspaper this morning,’’ he said.

Andeleki came to prominence after he took a strong stance and de-registered the opposition Movement for Multipaty Democracy [MMD]. The opposition was only served by the courts of law.

He is perceived to be a ruling PF cadre by the public and that he has connections with State House.
