Hairy caterpillars now attack maize fields

Another disaster, several maize fields in Kafue, 40 Kilometres South of Lusaka have been invaded by hairy caterpillarsĀ  few days after some paste called army worms attacked many parts of the country.
Affected small scale have since appealed to government to quickly move in by providing chemicals to spread the fields. According to Muvi, a private owned Lusaka based Television a number of maize fields have been attacked by the vicious black hairy caterpillars.
The black hairy caterpillars are also causing skin rushes to farmers.
